– EXTREMELY RARE, EARLY IRON AGE LARGE HOLLOW FIGHTING SOCKETED AXEHEAD with very rare shape and design. At the time this axe head has been made, the iron was much more precious then the bronze and copper alloys.
Considering that
the
artifact is made from Iron it is in remarkably good condition
. Professionally cleaned and very good preserved!!!

This is a beautiful undamaged piece that could have been a hafted piece, a hand axe or a pestle.
It is nicely worked and shows no damage from many hundred years being under ground.
Note the interesting bevel on the large end. Length is 8"
