ACHEULEAN NEOLITHIC EGYPT FIST AXE, KNIFE, BLADE or TOOL, Ben Stermer COACirca 1.5 Million Years to 35O,OOOB.P.
Kufra District, Libya
Found in the 194O's and 195O's, in various stream beds and blow outs
in the Desert on the fringes of Erg Rubiana, Libya. Erg is a general term
for Sand Dune Desert, also encompassing Regs (a mixture of rock and sand),
and Hamadas (higher plateaus, rock strewn, with most of the sand having
blown away).

DESCRIPTION
:
In a Heavily Patinated Tan Brown Jasper or Chert, as pictured.
Exhibits a very nice Heavily Sand Polished Desert Varnish overall. Possibly
Water/Dirt Tannin Stained from moisture and ancient vegetation.
Length is 4-1/8", or 1O3mm.
